Our Company
SMC Consolidated Power Corporation (SCPC) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SMC Global Power Holdings Corp. (SMCGPH), one of the largest power companies in the Philippines. SCPC owns and operates the 4 x 150 MW Limay Greenfield Power Plant located in Limay Bataan. SCPC offers one of the most competitive electricity supply packages for distribution utilities and industrial customers in the Luzon and Visayas grids.

SCPC was registered with the SEC on August 19, 2011. SCPC is a grantee of a Retail Electricity Supplier's license used by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

The 4 x 150 MW Limay Greenfield Power Plant utilizes the circulating fluidized bed (CFB) technology. With this type of clean-coal technology, CFB power plants are capable of utilizing domestic coal while limiting emissions to levels significantly lower than traditional coal technologies. The power plant was constructed under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contract with Formosa Heavy Industries of Taiwan.

SCPC primarily supplies to contestable customers and various electric cooperatives in the Luzon grid. With this power plant, SCPC hopes to improve the stability of the power network in the country while providing end-users with affordable and reliable baseload energy.

Rates vary depending on the customer’s load profile, contract duration, contract capacity and power plant preferences, among others, and excludes pass through charges such as transmission, distribution, WESM and other government charges.
